Potatoes Supreme

Boil 4 to 6 large potatoes in skins
Put in refrigerator until they get cold
Peel and grate potatoes into large casserole dish
Add salt and pepper to taste

Melt in saucepan:
1 stick margarine
1 pt. ½ and ½
1 lb. grated mild cheddar cheese

Pour cheese mixture over potatoes and mix well (can be frozen at this stage)

Bake ½ hour at 350°F in oven
Take out and spread ½ container (8 oz) of sour cream over top and sprinkle with bacon bits
Bake 10 more minutes
