Ingredients
Use any or all of the following meats: 1 lb. cooked, peeled, and deveined shrimp; 1 lb. smoked sausage sliced; 1 lb. chicken, cooked and diced
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 tbsp. flower
- 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
- 2½ cups water
- 2 cups uncooked rice
- 2 tbsp. chopped parsley
- ½ tsp. dried thyme
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- dash of Tabasco sauce
Directions
In a large dutch oven, sauté in oil green pepper, onion, garlic, sausage, and chicken.
Add flour and stir to coat.
Add can of tomatoes (with juice), water, and parsley. Bring to a boil.
Add all other ingredients except shrimp. Cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
Add shrimp and cook an additional 5 to 10 minutes until shrimp is heated through.
