Apple Sauce

Peel and core apples. Cut into quarters.

Put in large kettle on high heat for a few minutes to start cooking apples (You can put a tsp. or so of water, but it is not necessary). Watch apples to make sure they do not brown on the bottom.

Lower heat and cover. Stir often to keep rotating and to prevent them from burning on the bottom. Cook until apples are mushy, about 15 — 20 mins.

Remove from heat and mash with a potato masher. Add sugar to taste and dash of cinnamon if you like.

Notes

You can freeze apple sauce in containers or freezer bags. Store in refrigerator.
